G.O.A.T. FILMS

Who We Are

G.O.A.T. FILMS recently began a quest for the first feature length film. Inspired by films of old, this formation exists to pursue pure cinema by any means necessary. With numerous skill sets aligning, this unique troupe sets out to raise a ruckus and shake up the silver screen. Combing over ten years of experience in all aspects of film & production, we leave no stone unturned. In front of the camera, behind the camera, and pencil to paper, this culmination of talent, desire and hard work are ready to bloom.

Director - Jeremy Sexton
Born in Waco, Texas and a graduate from St. Edward's University, Jeremy has worked in Austin & Los Angles in film production. From NBC's Friday Night Lights (Yes, even in an episode, #10 if you wanna check), Fireflies in the Garden, and Brett Easton Ellis' The Informers, Jeremy has seen every type of production from Hollywood big to small.

Producer - Natalie George
A designer, producer, and artist currently based in Austin, Tx. After attending St. Edward's University, Natalie set out to work in local theater productions both on and off stage. Natalie worked as a lighting designer and production manager for local companies, but quickly began traveling the United States from New York, Minneapolis, and Connecticut, working with companies producing new works.  After returning back to Austin to work at the University, she decided to take the next step in seeing new works come to life. Natalie has produced many shows in Austin as as Sad Sad Sad and Spacestation 1985 in NYC. Natalie is proud to be associate producer for the performance festival, Fusebox in Austin, Tx. Natalie and Jeremy have collaborated and produced short films and stage plays, a partnership that has been brewing since college.

We crossed out half way marker in our Kickstarter journey and now approach the final month and half. It's been awesome to see the support thus far, even though we still have a big mountain to climb. We have found support in the most unlikely of places and from our dear friends and amazing families. Our campaign has us re-imagining our approach and finding new ways to grab people's attention. With a new video in the works to help us drive home our final weeks we remain confident that we can reach our goal and move forward. Thank you for the continued support and spread the word!  DONATE NOW!

Our first journey into the world of independent feature films will begins with the movie, "Let". The story is of Reed, a single father who once was a rising tennis pro. Reed meet the wrong woman and together they had a daughter. After being abandoned by the mother, Reed sacrificed his career in order to raise his child. Our story finds Reed with his now twelve year old daughter as Reed pushes her to become a great tennis player. Abigail, Reed's daughter, is a good player, but lacks the killer instinct possessed by her father. Reed deals with the struggles of being a single parent and the frustrations of her progress in tennis. In the end, Reed faces many choices in his life, but the main one concerns his daughter and her well being.
We plan to shoot this film in Austin, Texas in the coming months. Our campaign to begin fundraising begins soon. More details to come soon.

Deeming the current trends in American movies stale and cliched, our venture is simple. Shatter the mold and let the Audience sort out the rest.
